United Way of Sumner County is looking for some enthusiastic, hard-working students interested in earning hours through volunteering or working in our internship program during the 2023-24 school year.
United Way of Sumner County is grateful for the many volunteers who ensure our drives are a success. From sorting to packing to delivering, our volunteers help make it happen. We always welcome volunteers for our various drives during the year. Volunteers must be 16 or have a guardian with them during the volunteer work.
United Way of Sumner County is elated to announce that because of the generosity of our donors and supporters, there will an impact to the greater community of almost $700,000 for the 2023-2024 grant year with over $635,000 going to our partner agencies!
United Way of Sumner County is proud to be governed by a local, active, volunteer Board of Directors which oversees the strategic vision of our organization and our financials. Members serve a three-year term before rolling off the board for at least a year. This year we have seven board members rolling off: Alana Hibbler, Jimmy Johnston, Grace Oliver, Mary Kathryn Oliver, Michele Owens, Amy Ray, and Norman Rubio. At our June 8, 2023, meeting we celebrated them and honored them for their service to the local community as UWSC Board Members. Each member received a plaque that said:
