"I am 15 years old and on the high school wrestling team, as well as play lacrosse for the Hendersonville Spartans. I am also an active member in the Sumner County 4-H Nutrition Health & Fitness Program. I was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4, but I don't let that stop me... I gained weight because of medicine my neurologist gave me to help with my anxiety. No matter what I ate I still gained weight. With the help of a new doctor, my 4-H Nutrition Health & Fitness leader, and a fitness trainer, I got ready for wrestling season and lost 10 lbs and in the ending lacrosse season, I have lost 7 more lbs... In July, I attended Tennessee 4-H Roundup... I was in the level 1 Nutrition, Health, & Fitness project group. I worked hard with my 4-H agents to prepare my portfolio and practice my interviewing skills before the event. Not only did I attend this great event, I was also awarded top honors as the project finalist. I was awarded with a scholarship! What a difference a year will make. I can’t wait to see what the next one brings!" - a 4-H student
