Sumner County Kids Staying Warm Thanks to Winter Care Drive!

Gallatin Shalom Zone kids with coats

The 2024 United Way of Sumner County (UWSC) Winter Care Drive ran from September 1 - 30 collecting gently used coats & hoodies, as well as new socks, hats, and gloves for kids in need.  Donations of 324 items were collected (valued at almost $1,100) from ten public drop-off locations and five companies who conducted internal collection campaigns amongst employees and/or customers.  These included Aladdin Temp-Rite, Hampton Inn Gallatin, HATS, Primrose School of Hendersonville, and McMurray, Fox & Associates.

Five UWSC agencies received the donations to benefit the children they serve.  They included Cumberland Crisis Pregnancy Center, Gallatin CARES, Gallatin Shalom Zone, Grace Place Ministry, and HomeSafe.

THANK YOU to the businesses that participated, all who donated, and all who volunteered to help pick-up, sort, and log donations!
