Two women in wheelchairs at nursing home

Mid Cumberland received multiple complaints of issues at a local nursing home.  Their Ombudsmen program investigated and found one working shower for 72 residents; unlocked/unattended medication; no clear directions for staff to know which residents they were to cover for the day; pic lines and bandages not being changed per physician instructions after patients returned from hospital visits; and unclean and/or unsanitary conditions in bathrooms, the kitchen, and hallways.  After refusing to address and correct these complaints, the Nursing Home Administrator was terminated.
