Thank you to everyone who took part in our 2022 Winter Care Drive! We collected 420 coats for children ages 0-18 including 80 brand new coats and 340 gently-used coats. In addition, we collected 547 pairs of socks, 152 pairs of gloves and mittens, 85 hats, and 26 hat/glove combo packs. We are so grateful to the 19 companies who served as collections sites including our 15 public drop-off locations plus GKN Hoeganaes, HCA/TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, Primrose School of Hendersonville, and Rosendin Electric who each did internal collection campaigns. Donations were distributed to 10 United Way partner agencies including Amazing Grace Mission, Community Child Care, Cumberland Crisis Pregnancy Center, Gallatin CARES, Gallatin Daycare, Gallatin Shalom Zone, Grace Place, HomeSafe, Nurses for Newborns, and Salvus Center. We were also able to provide donations to the Sumner County Schools Family Resource Center, veterans served via McKendree United Methodist Church, and for Gallatin Shalom Zone’s Community Saturday. We were moved to see the incredible generosity of so many donors in our community who ensured that Sumner County kids in need would be warm this winter! A special thanks to our incredible United Way of Sumner County volunteers who picked-up, counted, logged, sorted, and organized countless piles of donations totaling over $2,700!
